Dew on a Web

White Pine

Here's a grand old White Pine tree located up at Cathedral Pines, just north of Inlet in the Adirondacks. There are several of these patriarchs that miraculously escaped the early days of logging, and are now protected. It's worth a drive up to see them.

Canada Goose at Roger's Environmental Educational Center

This was one of a pair of nesting geese at Roger's Environmental Educational Center in Sherburne, New York. It's a great place to visit, walk the trails, canoe/kayak the waters, enjoy the many programs they offer.

"Elephant Rock" at Pine Lake, Adirondack Mountains, Upstate NY

This really large Rock in a cove at Pine Lake is called "Elephant Rock" by the locals... in case you can't tell, it's mostly the rear end view as if it were walking away from you. Pine lake is a wonderful lake to kayak on, lots of little coves to explore.

Oneida Valley Road, Canastota, NY at sunrise

Sunrise silhouettes.... Driving back from Syracuse March 30th, I saw the most beautiful sunrise... lots of fog, some beautiful photo ops, but not many places to pull over with my truck.... Finally when I saw this pond, there was enough room to get off the road, the fog had lifted for the most part, but I still had to capture this moment.
